David Guetta is performing Saturday for a global audience from somewhere in Miami.
The DJ and music producer will kick off a two-hour set at 6 p.m. ET on April 18 to raise money for COVID-19 relief.
“I’m very excited to share what’s been in the works for some time now,” Guetta said, in a press release. “My heart goes out to all those suffering from the global health pandemic, and I hope that this live-stream event will bring people together and help raise money for those in need.”
Guetta has partnered with the Miami Downtown Development Authority (Miami DDA) for United At Home, which promises “a state-of-the-art production … packed with stunning visuals and quality music.” Guetta lives about 10 km northeast of downtown Miami in the city of Miami Beach.
The event will benefit Feeding South Florida and Feeding America as well as Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris - Hôpitaux de France in Guetta’s native France and the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. Donations can be made here.
United At Home will be live-streamed on Guetta’s Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and Twitch and on the Miami DDA’s Facebook and Instagram.
