Demi Lovato has three words for those who don’t like her swimsuit snaps on Instagram: Sorry, not sorry.
The 25-year-old pop star said she tunes out the haters.
“I just feel sorry for them, because who leaves a negative comment on somebody's profile on the internet?" she said during an appearance on Ellen. “You have to be kind of sad to do that.
“I've taken away the power, and it just feels great.”
Lovato said she was self-conscious about her legs in a photo she shared on Jan. 4.
“I actually was very hesitant about posting that because I didn't love my legs in it. You know, every time you look at a picture of yourself you critique it. I'm a perfectionist,” the singer explained.
"I decided to post it anyway because I thought, ‘You know what, it's me, it's who I am and I love my body, so I'm just going to post it.’ I posted it because I look so happy. That’s what I love about that picture.”
Lovato said her confidence comes from a year spent working on herself.
“I've really surrendered to the process of just learning to love yourself, and I feel like it shows through my pictures,” she explained. “I want to show my fans that it's possible that they can get to that self-love too.”
Next month, Lovato hits the road with DJ Khaled for her Tell Me You Love Me Tour, which stops in Montreal on March 17 and Toronto on March 19.
