Lana Del Rey sang about being pursued by embattled movie producer Harvey Weinstein several years ago, according to a report.
The New York Post claims the singer’s 2012 song “Cola” originally contained the lyrics: “Harvey’s in the sky with diamonds and he’s making me crazy / All he wants to do is party with his pretty baby.”
Del Rey also sings: “I know your wife and she wouldn’t mind.”
According to the tabloid, the song is meant to be ironic. Del Rey, who had a boyfriend, shot Weinstein down.
The Post alleged that Weinstein “went bananas” when he heard that he was mentioned by name and insisted that Del Rey change the lyric.
“Weinstein later got Del Rey to do a song for his 2014 movie Big Eyes,” it reported.
Reps for Del Rey and Weinstein did not comment on the report.
Weinstein, who has come under fire for decades of sexual harassment of women, has previously said: "I am going to fix how I deal with women and how I deal with my temper and power.”
