On his 48th birthday, hip-hop mogul and Bad Boy Records CEO Sean Combs has decided to change his name yet again. Starting out as Puff Daddy when he burst onto the scene in the early '90s, he has since changed his name to Puffy, P. Diddy, Diddy, and now, "Brother Love."
While standing on the beach, he revealed the name change in a video posted to Twitter. "I've been praying on this and I decided - I know it was risky because it could come off as corny to some people. I decided to change my name again," he said. "I'm just not who I am before. I'm something different," he explains.
"So my new name is Love A.K.A. Brother Love. I will not be answering to Puffy, Diddy, Puffy Daddy, or any of my other monikers but Love and Brother Love."
With the swiftness, Twitter was sure to remind the mogul formerly known as Diddy of professional wrestling personality Brother Love, the original manager of The Undertaker.
We're not sure if the change is completely official, but the "Brother Love" can be seen in a Google search of "Diddy" and on his Wikipedia page. And if those aren't official in modern society, I don't know what is.
I decided to change my name again!
