Diplo has denied the allegations of a California woman who has filed for a restraining order against him to prevent him from distributing “revenge porn.”
The woman (who iHeartRadio.ca is not identifying) took to Twitter last month to describe Diplo as ”manipulative” and claim he recorded sexual activity without her permission.
In an Oct. 26th tweet, she accused the DJ-producer of hiring a private investigator to contact her after they had an argument, “to scare me into not speaking out on the disgusting details I know about him.”
She alleged: “The private investigator stated to me that he knew my address, he knew my parents address, he knew my place of work as well as my parents place to work. Take that as you may but most people will take that as a threat.”
Her lawyer, Lisa Bloom, told The Daily Beast that shortly after the allegations were made, a nude photo of the woman was posted to a “fake account.” She said “the only person that had that picture other than her” was Diplo.
A hearing about the restraining order is set for Dec. 7 in Los Angeles.
Diplo’s lawyer Bryan Freedman said in a statement his client has not “violated any laws” and accused the woman of “harassing my client and his family for more than a year and has repeatedly refused to stop doing so.”
Freedman added: “He has repeatedly made it clear that he wants nothing whatsoever to do with this person – and simply needs her ongoing harassment of his family to end.”
