Darryl D.M.C. McDaniels is set to release Back From The Dead: The Legend Lives, a vinyl EP that features Canadian metal band Slaves On Dope.
The 53-year-old founding member of legendary hip hop trip Run-D.M.C. teamed up with the Montreal group and Public Enemy’s Chuck D on the track “Coming Like a Rhino.”
“We wrote, produced and recorded in Montreal,” said Slaves On Dope frontman Jason Rockman, a well known host on Montreal’s CHOM, an iHeartRadio station. Rockman will be part of three in-store signings with DMC in the New York area next week.
Last year, DMC was featured on Slaves On Dope's track "Script Writer."
Also featured on DMC’s new collection is Rome of Sublime and John Moyer of Disturbed.
The limited-edition EP, with cover art created by comic book artist Tony Moore of Walking Dead fame – is being released on Nov. 24 – Record Store Day Black Friday – on red vinyl. In Canada, it will be available at indie record stores and Sunrise Records locations.
