Ever since The Weeknd and Selena Gomez became a thing, Justin Bieber has been spewing not-so-subtle digs at his fellow Canadian superstar. They’ve been mostly feeble attempts to diss him, but it sounds like Abel just stepped up his game and took shots at the pop titan on his brand-new collaboration with rising Toronto rapper/producer NAV called “Some Way.”
In the three-minute Metro Boomin-produced track, the 26-year-old chart-topper seemingly hits back at the Biebster at the end of his opening verse on the team-up. “I think your girl, think your girl, fell in love with me/ She say my f**k and my tongue game a remedy,” he croons. It's one of the many brag-worthy sex references, but it obviously comes as at a fitting time, considering JB's consistent remarks.
Later on in the hook, The Weeknd boasts about how he took a chick and left someone feeling some kind of way, so we’ll let you be the judge of the Bieber affiliation.
“Some Way” arrived just a few days after both acts hinted about the team-up on the Twitterverse. It's expected to be included on the OVO signee's debut project, which is due at the end of the month via XO and Republic Records. Take a listen to the cut below!
