Doja Cat has announced that her new album, Scarlet, will be released on September 22.
She posted an image of the cover on Instagram with the simple caption, "SCARLET 9.22 ️"
On Friday Doja Cat will release the third single from the album. "Demons" follows up previously released singles "Attention" and "Paint the Town Red."
Scarlet is her fourth album and first since 2021's Planet Her, which featured the top 20 hits You Right” with The Weeknd, "Woman," and “Kiss Me More” with SZA, which won a Grammy for best pop duo/group performance.
Earlier this year, Doja Cat (real name Amala Dlamini) told fans she was "currently making rap, soul and R&B music with jazz elements" and described Scarlet as "very different compared to everything I have done."
Doja Cat will embark on the Scarlet tour with Ice Spice beginning October 31 (spooky!) at the Chase Center in San Francisco. She currently only has one Canadian date at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on December 11. Click here for more information.
Update: Doja Cat has changed the cover of Scarlet after it was pointed out that she was using the same image of a red spider as German metal band Chaver. As it turns out, both album covers were designed by Dusty Ray, who pointed out the similarity on socials.
