Country stars Dolly Parton and Sara Evans, along with Monica, Jordin Sparks and Rita Wilson, are marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month with “PINK.”
“Some day, pink will just be a colour / Not a ribbon to remember a best friend or a mother,” Parton sings on the track, which benefits the U.S. breast cancer charity Susan G. Komen.
The song was produced by Victoria Shaw, who co-wrote it with Erin Kinsey and Jodi Marr.
“This is such a beautiful song of hope,” Parton said, in a release. “I’m honoured to join with these powerful women.” Evans added: “There is something magical that happens when women band together to have a positive impact on the world for our sisters and our daughters.”
Wilson, a breast cancer survivor, will join Little Big Town and Lauren Alaina at the 12th annual Opry Goes Pink Show on Oct. 24.
