Dr. Dre, whose most recent album came out in 2015, has been named the highest-earning music artist of the decade.
The 54-year-old is in the top spot on a list compiled by Forbes thanks mostly to his 20 per cent stake in Beats, which was scooped up by Apple in 2014 for $3 billion (all figures U.S.).
Forbes estimates that Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, earned $950 million in the last 10 years.
At No. 2, with estimated earnings of $825 million, is Taylor Swift. She is one of only four female artists in the Top 10.
Power couple Beyoncé (No. 3) and Jay-Z (No. 7) raked in an estimated $1.25 billion.
The list of the decade’s top-earning music artists only counts living ones. Forbes figures Michael Jackson, who died in 2009, has earned a whopping $2.37 billion in the last 10 years.
