Four guys from Toronto have nabbed nominations for this year’s BET Awards.
Drake is up for three – Best Male Hip Hop Artist and both Video of the Year and Viewers’ Choice (for “God’s Plan”). He is also featured on the Migos track "Walk It Talk It" which is up for Video of the Year.
Daniel Caesar is up for Best New Artist and Best Male R&B/Pop Artist. In the latter category, he is competing with The Weeknd.
Director X (aka Julien Lutz) is nominated for Video Director of the Year.
Leading the way at the BET Awards, though, is DJ Khaled, who earned six nominations. He’s up for Best Collaboration (for “Wild Thoughts” and “Top Off”), Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Video of the Year (“Wild Thoughts”), Album of the Year (Grateful) and – another one! – the Viewers Choice Award (“Wild Thoughts”).
Migos and SZA each earned four nominations.
The BET Awards will be handed out June 24 in Los Angeles.
