Drake is among the nominees announced Tuesday for the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, scoring nine nods, including Top Artist and Top Male Artist.
Drake has collected 14 BBMAs – including Top Rap Artist in 2016 and 2017 – from 55 previous nominations.
This week, his single "Nice for What" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, knocking his own "God's Plan" out of the top spot after 11 weeks.
Last year, Drake tied with The Chainsmokers for the most BBMAs nominations, with 22. Canada was also represetnd by Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Alessia Cara, PARTYNEXTDOOR and The Weeknd.
Bieber has eight nominations this year, including Top 100 Song for the remix of "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee and Top Social Artist.
In the latter category, his competition includes fellow Canadian Shawn Mendes. The Weeknd is up for Top R&B Artist and Top R&B Male Artist.
Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Post Malone and Camila Cabello also received multiple nominations.

Nominations for the BBMAs are based on factors including sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social engagement.
The Billboard Music Awards will be broadcast May 20 from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on CTV.
