Thousands of fans were already inside the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on Monday night when they found out Drake wouldn’t be hitting the stage.
After waiting more than an hour for the rap superstar, who is winding down his European Boy Meets World Tour in Amsterdam, someone came out to break the news that Drake had fallen ill.
The concert was bumped to Wednesday night.
Drake’s concerts on Monday and Tuesday were to make up for Jan. 21 and 22 shows that were postponed due to “unforeseen production setbacks.” (Two other Amsterdam shows, on Jan. 28 and Feb. 26, went on as scheduled.)
Anger and frustration came out on social media. “What he has done is unacceptable,” one fan commented on Drake’s Instagram. Another person wrote that Drake “made it and doesn’t care about the people who brought him there anymore.”
Earlier this month, a show in Cologne, Germany was cancelled due to illness.
In 2016, Drake pulled the plug on his Summer Sixteen Tour due to an ankle injury.
