For the first time ever, children aged 8 and under are living in a world without Drake on the Billboard Hot 100.
The Toronto rap superstar doesn’t have a song on the current singles chart this week, ending his run of 431 consecutive weeks.
Drake’s “Best I Ever Had” hit the Hot 100 in 2009 and he’s had a song — or he’s been a featured artist on a song — ever since.
His impressive run beat Lil Wayne’s 326 consecutive weeks and Rihanna’s 216 weeks.
With 157 tracks making the chart, Drake holds the record for a solo artist and is second only to the Glee cast for the most ever. In April, he set the record for the most songs on the Hot 100 at one time (24!).
Drake had songs in the Top 10 on the chart for 51 consecutive weeks — a record for a solo male artist and behind only Katy Perry and The Chainsmokers.
