Canada’s Drake and The Weeknd are among the Artist of the Year nominees at the 2022 American Music Awards (AMAs).
The two Toronto stars, who have each collected six AMAs during their careers, are also competing against each other for Favourite Male Pop Artist. Drake has a total of six nominations and The Weeknd earned five.
Justin Bieber is nominated with The Kid LAROI for Collaboration of the Year and Favourite Pop Song for their hit "Stay."
Bad Bunny is this year’s top nominee, with eight.
Nominations are based on “key fan interactions,” including streaming, sales, radio airplay and tour revenues in the year ending Sept. 22. Winners are determined by fan votes.
The AMAs will be handed out Nov. 20 in Los Angeles. Check out the nominations below:
