Drake this week ties with Usher as the solo male artist with the most time in the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
Both have spent 47 weeks at No. 1.
Only Mariah Carey, Rihanna, The Beatles and Boyz II Men have spent more total weeks at No. 1 in the 60-year history of the Hot 100, according to Billboard.
Some Usher fans could argue their artist has an edge because he was the lead on all of his chart-topping tracks, whereas Drake is only a featured artist on some of his.
Drake has matched Usher’s record thanks to the success of “In My Feelings,” which is No. 1 on the chart, dated Sept. 8, for the eighth consecutive week. If the Canadian rapper is in the top spot again, he’ll tie Usher for the most weeks with a song at No. 1 in a single year. (Usher holds the record with 28 weeks in 2004.)
Drake’s fellow Canadian Justin Bieber is way down the list with 17 weeks at No. 1 in 2017.
Billboard said “In My Feelings” also tops the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts for the eighth time.
