Seven rock bands are among the year’s highest-earning music acts, according to Forbes.
The list ranks The Eagles at No. 4 with estimated earnings of $100 million (all figures U.S.) in the year ended June 2019.
Metallica is No. 10 with $68.5 million, well ahead of Fleetwood Mac (No. 21 with $49 million) and Guns N’ Roses (No. 25 with $44 million). The Rolling Stones earned an estimated $41 million to rank No. 28 and the Dave Matthews Band is No. 33 with $39 million.
U2 barely made the list, claiming the 39th spot with an estimated gross of $37 million.
The Forbes list includes a number of classic music acts, including Elton John, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel and Jimmy Buffett.
