The Eagles announced this week they will perform Hotel California in its entirety for the first time ever.
Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, with Vince Gill and Glenn Frey’s son Deacon Frey, will do shows on Sept. 27 and 28 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Since Hotel California only has eight songs, the band will also do a greatest hits set.
Tickets, starting at $179 U.S., go on sale to the general public on April 12 at 10 a.m. PT
Hotel California was released in December 1976 and spent eight non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart in 1977. Today, it ranks as the third best-selling album of all time in the U.S. behind Michael Jackson’s Thriller and the Eagles’ own greatest hits collection. In Canada, Hotel California sold more than 1 million copies.
The album was powered by the success of the title track and “New Kid in Town," both of which went to No. 1, and "Life in the Fast Lane."
