Tim Bachman, part of the original line-up of Bachman-Turner Overdrive, died Friday after a battle with cancer. He was 71.
“The last words he said were, 'I love you Paxton, Share the Music,’” his son wrote on Facebook.
“Grateful I got to spend some time with him at the end. Grab yer loved ones and hug em close, ya never know how long you have.”
Bachman played on BTO’s first two studio albums, both released in 1973, before being replaced by Blair Thornton. He returned for the band’s self-titled 1984 album and tour.
He previously toured with brothers Randy Bachman and Robbie Bachman in Brave Belt.
Bachman’s brother Robbie died in January at 69.
