The documentary series Ed Sheeran revealed last October has been given a premiere date.
Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All will debut on Disney+ on May 3.
“I’ve always been very guarded in my personal and private life; the only documentary I’ve ever made has been one that focused on my songwriting,” Sheeran explained, in a release. “Disney approached me to make a four-part documentary, and it felt like the right time to open the door and let people in.”
The series is described in a release as “a definitive and searingly honest view into his private life as he explores the universal themes that inspire his music.” It features “exclusive, never-before-seen personal archive, present-day actuality, authentic interviews with his wife and loved ones, and intimate performances in cinematic locations.”
Last year, Sheeran told UK tabloid The Sun “there was a big conversation about what we include.”
The Sum of It All is divided into four episodes: Love, Loss, Focus and Balance. It starts streaming just two days before the release of his sixth studio album Subtract.
Sheeran brings his +–=÷× Tour to Toronto on June 17 and 18 and Vancouver on Sept. 2.
