Ed Sheeran hyped his new album - (Subtract) this weekend with a pair of pop-up shows on both sides of the U.S.
On Saturday, the English singer performed atop a car in New York City and on Sunday he performed from the top deck of a sightseeing bus in Los Angeles.
The surprise gigs followed Sheeran’s victory in a New York courtroom last week, where he was found not liable for copyright infringement over his song “Thinking Out Loud.” He also appeared as a guest judge – and performed – on Sunday’s episode of American Idol.

Next month, Sheeran will be in Toronto for three shows – an intimate performance on June 16 at HISTORY followed by big concerts at Rogers Centre on June 17 and 18.
He is also scheduled to perform in Vancouver on Sept. 1 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre and on Sept. 2 at BC Place.
Sheeran kicked off the Mathematics tour (also known as the +–=÷x Tour) in last April.
Ed Sheeran and I totally had a moment of solid eye contact singing to each other from 20 feet away when he was on top of this damn bus and it was magical pic.twitter.com/GmGFDzFZQ9
