Ed Sheeran recently revealed that he has written a theme song for a James Bond movie – despite not yet being asked.
During an appearance on Ireland’s The Late Late Show, the singer said he’s ready for the call from producers of a 007 flick.
“I’ve actually had a theme tune written for about three years, just in case,” said Sheeran, who declined to share the title.
“I’m not going to say ’cause someone might steal it, but it’s good.”
Sheeran said he likes to be prepared. “I just recently did a song with one of my all time heroes, Eminem. I’d already had the song planned ‘cause I was like, ‘If I ever work with Eminem, I’ve got this song.’
“So it’s the same with Bond. If ever I’m called, I will be like, ‘Here you go.’”
The theme songs for the two most recent Bond films have been performed by Adele (Skyfall) and Sam Smith (Spectre).
