Eddie Money announced on Tuesday that he will undergo a heart valve replacement this week
“I will be undergoing a minor, minimally invasive heart valve surgery this week,” the rock star tweeted. “I appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
“I look forward to getting back win stage and rockin’ with you all!”
A rep for the 70-year-old singer said in a release that the procedure was ordered last week after Money complained of shortness of breath. Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger recently underwent a heart valve replacement.
Money performed in Detroit last Saturday and in Arizona on Sunday.
He is scheduled to be back on the road on June 13. Money is due to perform Aug. 9 in Grand Forks, BC.
