Elvis isn't dead.
The King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, will return to the stage as a hologram later this year.
According to the Guardian, Elvis Evolution will offer fans an “immersive concert experience” that uses both AI and holographic projection.
Created by Layered Reality, which describes itself as "the UK's leading immersive specialist," Elvis Evolution will launch in Central London in November 2024, with Las Vegas, Tokyo and Berlin set to follow afterwards.
Layered Reality says the shows will consist of "a life-sized digital Elvis [that] will share his most iconic songs and moves" using the company's "unique blend of technology, augmented reality, theatre, projection and multi-sensory effects."
The Guardian adds that the digital Elvis will be created from "thousands of his personal photos and home-video footage. The hologram will perform in a celebration of the star’s life and musical legacy after a deal between Authentic Brands Group, the owners of the Elvis Presley estate, and Layered Reality."
There will also be an after party thrown at the venue's ELVIS-themed restaurant and bar featuring live music, DJs and performances.
