Eminem is teasing the release of his new album with a hilarious marketing campaign for a fake prescription drug.
It appears that the rap superstar’s eighth studio album — his first since 2013 — is titled Revival. (In 2009 and 2010, he released albums named Relapse and Recovery.)
Revival is also the name of a fake drug that is getting a significant push online.
A toll-free number for more information (1-833-243-8738) on the drug reveals that it’s “a slightly invasive treatment” that is “injected through the ear canal and not intended for anal use.”
The recorded message — backed by a piano version of the 2011 Dr. Dre and Eminem collaboration “I Need A Doctor” — recommends: “You should discuss the potential benefits and risks of Revival with your doctor or clergyman.”

Clues that the campaign is actually about Eminem’s new album are easy to catch. The recorded message warns “you only get one shot” (a lyric from the rapper’s 2002 hit “Lose Yourself") to beat the non-existent condition "atrox rithimus."
And, in an otherwise convincing commercial for the drug, an actor also makes reference to the song. “It’s easy to lose yourself,” he says.

Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg also dropped a clue. He shared a photo on Instagram that shows a billboard for Revival in the background. The “e” in the drug name is backwards, like the second “e” in Eminem’s logo.
Now we just need to figure out when we can get our first dose of Revival.
