Eminem has pledged that he will donate all proceeds he is awarded from a lawsuit filed against New Zealand’s conservative party to hurricane relief efforts.

The rapper filed suit against the political party after they breached copyright and used a similar sounding song to Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” in a campaign advertisement. The New Zealand judge ruled in favour of the rapper and has ordered the National Party to pay a sum of 500,000 New Zealand dollars ($440,996 CAD), plus interest.

Although the exact amount awarded has not yet been determined, Eminem’s team has confirmed that all funds will be donated to help those affected by recent hurricane destruction.
