A man who attended a Tool concert in New Zealand last week has tested positive for COVID-19.
“We encourage all people in the area of the concert to be aware of the symptoms,” Ashley Bloomfield, the country’s director-general of health, told reporters. “The risk is very low for all others who attended this concert.”
According to the New Zealand Herald, the man in his 30s was in the general admission section of the concert at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Feb. 28.
He has been in self-isolation since Wednesday and does not require hospital care.
A number of music acts have cancelled concerts due to the threat of COVID-19, which has claimed more than 3,300 lives worldwide.
Tool is scheduled to perform in Montreal on April 28 and in Quebec City on April 29, followed by shows in Vancouver, Edmonton and Winnipeg in late May and early June.
