A 22-year-old Taylor Swift fan in the U.S. has designed a theme park based on the pop star’s music.
Matthew Ables said the idea came to him on his 22nd birthday in March. “One night I drew out this rough layout of what a Taylor Swift theme park could look like,” he explained in a YouTube video.
The park, named Wonderland (after Swift’s 1989 track) was originally divided into seven lands – one for each of her albums. “I was happy with the way it turned out,” Ables said. “Then out of nowhere folklore dropped and I had to rethink everything. Thanks a lot, Taylor Swift.”
Ables said he worked on the design for a few hours a day last month. “Every ride, show, restaurant and attraction … was of course inspired by a Taylor Swift song, album or music video,” he said.
Fans can ride the “Should’ve Said No” roller coaster and “Out of the Woods” Log Quest, get some food at Abigail’s Cafeteria, let loose at the “Shake It Off” Dance Party, shop at the “Cardigan” Emporium or tour “The Man” Museum.
As of Wednesday morning, Swift has not publicly acknowledged Ables’ labour of love.
