A Florida man has launched a class-action lawsuit against Madonna after her upcoming concert in Miami Beach was pushed back two hours.
Nate Hollander said he spent over $1,300 for three tickets to the pop icon’s Madame X Tour show at the Fillmore on Dec. 17. The start time was originally listed as 8:30 p.m. but promoter Live Nation revised it to 10:30 p.m.
He is suing Madonna and Live Nation for breach of contract and negligent misrepresentation.
In the lawsuit, filed in Miami-Dade last week, Hollander said he does not want to attend a concert that starts so late but Live Nation won’t refund his money. “Ticketholders had to work and go to school the next day, which prevented them from attending a concert that would end at around 1:00 a.m.,” it reads.
“Hollander attempted, without success, to obtain a refund for the three tickers purchased for the Madonna concert." He said he used Ticketmaster to resell his tickets but due to the later start time, they “suffered an extreme loss in value.”
The claims have not been tested in court and neither of the defendants has publicly responded to the allegations.
Madonna has reportedly kept fans waiting at earlier shows on the Madame X Tour.
