The four remaining members of Fifth Harmony said Monday night they put in the work, work, work to keep the group together.
Ally Hernandez, Normani Kordei, Dinah Hansen and Lauren Jauregui claimed Camila Cabello did not make the same effort.
“We have consistently made every effort to sit down and discuss the future of Fifth Harmony with Camila,” read a statement. “We have spent the past year and a half trying to communicate to her and her team all of the reasons why we felt Fifth Harmony deserved at least one more album of her time.
“We have tried with exhausted efforts and hearts to keep this group alive as the five of us, and we want it to be very clear that unfortunately those efforts were not mutual.”

The performers said they even set up group counselling “which she did not show up to.”
The comments were in response to a statement released by Cabello on Monday, in which she said there were “long, much needed conversations about the future.”
(Fifth Harmony countered: “These supposed lengthy conversations in fact never happened, although we pleaded.”)
Fifth Harmony announced on Sunday night — following a performance at a Jingle Ball near Miami — that Cabello was no longer in the group.
“After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representative that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony,” read the statement.
“We wish her well.”
Cabello fired back: "I was shocked to read the statement the fifth harmony account posted without my knowing.
“Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that i was 'leaving the group' is simply not true."
The singer insisted she "did not intend to end things with fifth harmony this way.”
In their response, the four remaining members said they were informed by Cabello’s manager in mid-November that she was leaving and that the Dec. 18 show would be her last.
“We were truly hurt,” the statement said. “We had to begin to formulate a plan and constructive path for Fifth Harmony to move forward, beyond Camila.”
Fifth Harmony insisted Monday night that from now on they'll be pleading the fifth. “We’re done engaging in this back and forth,” they said. “We know our truth. Onward and upward.”
