Fifth Harmony announced Monday they are taking a break so the four remaining members can pursue solo projects.

“Reflecting on the past six years since we started on X-Factor, we’ve realized just how far we’ve come and we appreciate everything so much, more now than ever,” read a statement shared on social media by Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane Hansen and Lauren Jauregui.

“We’ve really had one hell of a memorable journey together and can’t begin to express our gratitude to y’all for coming along with us on this wild ride!”

The indefinite hiatus comes a little more than a year after Camila Cabello left the group to go solo.

Kordei recently tested the solo waters by collaborating with Khalid on the single “Love Lies” and Brooke teamed up with Topic for “Perfect.” Hansen did “Boom Boom” with Daddy Yankee, French Montana and RedOne.

Last year, Jauregui – who has worked with Halsey and Steke Aoki – signed a solo record deal

“We are all very excited and grateful to be able to take this time to learn and grow creatively and really find out footing as individuals,” the statement addewd. “In doing this we are allowing ourselves to gain new experiences, strengths and perspectives that we can bring back to our Fifth Harmony family.”
