Who’s a better singer than Seal, Patti LaBelle, Michelle Williams and Chris Daughtry? Wayne Brady, apparently.
The 47-year-old actor and TV host was crowned the winner of Season 2 of The Masked Singer in an episode that aired Wednesday night.
Brady, disguised as Fox, was in the final three with Daughtry (Rottweiler) and former Cheetah Girls member Adrienne Bailon (Flamingo) – outlasting competitors like Seal (Leopard), LaBelle (Flower) and Williams (Butterfly) on the show.
During the season, Brady impressed the judges and audience with renditions of Bobby Brown’s “Every Little Step,” Panic! At The Disco’s “Hey Look Ma, I Made It,” and Maroon 5’s “This Love.” When the judges kept guessing it was Jamie Foxx behind the mask, Brady performed Foxx’s “Blame It.”
Although perhaps best known for hosting Let’s Make a Deal and appearing on shows like Who’s Line Is It Anyway?, Brady has released two studio albums and earned a Grammy nomination in 2009 for his recording of “A Change Is Gonna Come.”
Other Season 2 competitors on The Masked Singer included Kelly Osbourne, Ana Gasteyer and Canada’s Paul Shaffer. Season 3 kicks off in February on CTV.
