Garth Brooks announced on Wednesday that he is plotting a three-year tour of stadiums all over the U.S. and Canada.
At a press conference in Nashville, the country icon said he hopes to play 10 to 12 stadium shows each year.
“People that know me know I’m scared to death of stadiums,” Brooks told reporters, explaining why he’s only ever done a few stadium shows.
Tickets will be priced the same for all levels in keeping with the singer’s policy.
Tour dates have not yet been released but Brooks said tickets for shows in St. Louis and Phoenix as well as three others in the U.S. will go on sale before Christmas. He hasn’t finalized opening acts but said his wife, Trisha Yearwood, will not be one.
Brooks also announced that his concert this Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium will be taped for broadcast on Dec. 2.
