Three original members of Genesis announced Wednesday they are reuniting for their first tour since 2007.
Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford, all 69, shared news of The Last Domino? Tour during an interview on BBC Radio and then via social media.
“We all felt, 'Why not? It sounds a bit of a lame reason but we enjoy each other's company, we enjoy playing together,” Collins told BBC News.
Collins’ 18-year-old son Nicholas will take over as drummer on the tour since Collins has been unable to play since suffering nerve damage on the band’s 40th anniversary tour.
So far, Genesis has only announced a 10-date UK tour from Nov. 16 to Dec. 11. Collins said the setlist will include many of the songs fans expect to hear. The group had hits like “Land Of Confusion,” “Invisible Touch” and “Throwing It All Away.”
Not on the tour are Peter Gabriel, who left the band in 1975, and guitarist Steve Hackett, who left in 1977.
