Geri Horner (aka Geri Halliwell) of the Spice Girls has addressed a claim by Mel B last week that the two became one – and her message is clear: Stop right now, thank you very much.
A rep for Horner said in a statement to the Daily Mail that Ginger Spice never hooked up with Scary Spice.
“She would like [the fans] to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family,” it read. “Moving forward, Geri can’t wait to see the girls and all the fans on the tour, have an amazing time with everyone, and make some new memories.”
The statement described the tale of a tryst as “very disappointing.”
In an interview with Piers Morgan, Mel B recalled: “It just happened and we just giggled at it and that was it. We were best friends … It was just a fun thing.”
She predicted Horner would “hate me for this” and said she hopes “she won’t deny it.”
Horner, who has been married to Christian Horner since 2015, is mom to daughter Bluebell, 12, and two-year-old son Monty.
In a 2010 interview with Morgan, Halliwell called Mel B “gorgeous” and said “she has great boobs” and “an amazing bottom.”
The Spice Girls are due to launch their reunion tour on May 24 in Dublin.
