Ginger Spice a.k.a. Geri Horner (formerly Geri Halliwell) has given birth to a baby boy named Montague George Hector Horner.
What makes this story even more touching, is that Horner has paid tribute to her close friend, singer George Michael, who died on Christmas Day, by including his name in her newborn son's name.
This is Horner’s second child (she has a 10-year-old daughter from a previous relationship) and her first with 43-year-old husband Christian Horner, a Formula One team manager.
The 44-year-old singer announced the news on Twitter on Saturday morning:
And followed it up with an adorable Instagram photo:
The birth coincides with Geri's ex bandmate and gal pal Emma Bunton's birthday, with Bunton taking to Twitter to congratulate her with the hashtag “birthdaytwins.”
The news comes after it was reported Horner had dropped out of the Spice Girls reunion — where she was due to team up again with Mel B and Bunton — to focus on her family.
Former Spice Girl Mel C also took to Twitter to congratulate Horner on her bundle of joy.
