Granger Smith took to Instagram to share his reaction to the crash of a tractor-trailer carrying his band’s musical equipment.
“Just standing there on that hill looking down at our whole music life, packed into a truck that is completely decapitated,” the country singer said in a video, “but knowing that we're all okay, the band and crew, we're perfectly fine… it puts everything in perspective.”
Smith said the truck’s driver Charlie lost control while driving on a West Virginia highway in fog. He escaped from the Aug. 11th crash unscathed.
The singer shared video of he and crew members watching the truck be brought back upright on the highway – and later going through the equipment inside. By all appearances, there was minimal damage.
“We all knew the main focus was to get to Baltimore and put on a show,” he said. “So we had to get over a few obstacles.”
