Green Day have been announced as the headliners for this year's Twisted Tea Grey Cup Halftime Show.
The pop-punk legends, who are currently celebrating the 30th anniversary of their breakthrough album, Dookie, will take the stage at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, ON on Sunday, November 19 and perform their biggest hits during halftime of the 110th Grey Cup.
“You better be ready because we’re about to turn the Grey Cup green and into the loudest f****** night in CFL history!” the band said in a statement.
TSN and RDS will broadcast the 110th Grey Cup, including the Green Day performance live across Canada beginning at 6:00PM EST. Tickets to the big game are available at Ticketmaster.
In addition to the big game, Hamilton will also host the 2023 Grey Cup Festival, which includes over 40 events across the city for fans of both football and music. Included in the festivities are the Hamilton Santa Claus Parade on November 19 and the Built in the Hammer Grey Cup Music Festival, which runs from November 16-19 and features a headlining performance by Carrie Underwood at FirstOntario Centre on November 17.
