Taylor Swift is coming to Toronto next week and joining her are a ton of rules and regulations for those attending any of the six concerts.
Guidelines have been posted on the official page for Swift's six-date run at the Rogers Centre on November 14, 15, 16, and 21, 22, and 23, and there is a lot to know.
Perhaps the biggest news is that fans without tickets for the shows will be allowed to buy concert merchandise on days when there are no concerts: November 12, 13, 17, 18, 19 and 20. The sale will operate from 10:00AM to 8:00PM, and fans will not be allowed to line up before 9:00AM. Merch stands will be located at Gates 1, 5 and Gate 9A.
For fans with tickets, on show days merch is only available to ticketholders for that day’s show. Merchandise is available at every level of Rogers Centre, except floor level, once gates open until approximately 45 minutes following the end of the show.
Gates for each date will open at 4:30PM, and no one will be permitted to arrive or queue before 3:30PM. Show time is set for 6:45PM.
Bags are strongly discouraged. But if you do need to bring one here are your options: option 1 - a clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC tote, no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”. Or option 2 - a small, non-clear bag, no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” (with or without a handle or strap). That's it. Anyone carrying bags that do not meet the criteria above will not be allowed into Rogers Centre.
What you wear also has to meet specific guidelines. The site reads, "While we appreciate the creativity and effort fans put into their event outfits, it is important that clothing and costumes do not impact the comfort and safety of guests." Most of it makes sense, however, when it comes to friendship bracelets, a popular item at Swift shows, they must fit on your person, adding metal or plastic carabiners, shower curtain hooks/rings, and bags carrying additional friendship bracelets are not permitted.
Other items not permitted include signs, outside food or beverages (one small - 500ml or less - factory-sealed soft-sided clear plastic water bottle is allowed), outside alcoholic beverages, glass or metal containers, professional cameras, weapons, drones or selfie sticks.
Note: each fan is permitted to bring one battery pack or portable charger that is not larger than your mobile phone. So make sure you're phone is charged!
#TorontoTSTheErasTour non-show day merchandise shopping takes place at Rogers Centre on November 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, & 20 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is open to all! Queuing is not permitted before 9 a.m.
