Gwen Stefani is being sued by a fan who claims she was injured at the singer’s concert in Charlotte, North Carolina last summer.
Lisa Keri Stricklin claims she suffered “severe physical injuries,” including a broken leg, after Stefani urged fans seated on a lawn to “fill in” the space up front.
Stricklin, who was in the reserved seating area, alleges that “created a stampede rush” in which fans were “knocking over and breaching security barricades.”
Stricklin claims Stefani admitted to getting “in so much trouble” for inviting the crowd to move forward.
She is suing the singer as well as concert promoter Live Nation for more than $75,000 USD in damages and is seeking punitive damages.
Neither reps for Stefani nor Live Nation have yet responded to the lawsuit, which was filed on Friday.
