Miley Cyrus has had enough chair-spinning on The Voice for the time being and will return her seat to Gwen Stefani for season 12 of the TV singing competition in 2017.
NBC announced Tuesday that the No Doubt singer will take the red swivel chair back from Cyrus in February to sit alongside returning coaches Alicia Keys, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. Longtime host Carson Daly will also be back.
You won't have to wait too long to see Cyrus on the show again as the pop star will return as a coach for season 13 in fall 2017. Additional coaches for that cycle have yet to be announced.
Paul Telegdy, president of NBC’s Alternative and Reality Group, shared his excitement in a statement. "We can't wait to experience the unique chemistry and energy Gwen, Alicia, Blake, and Adam will bring to season 12," he said. "With Miley returning for season 13, we’re truly ecstatic about the unmatched musical know-how and talent coming together in our coming seasons."
