Halsey has gifted fans with an alternate version of a song that was released on the Japanese edition of her most recent album Manic.

She described “Wipe Your Tears,” which she wrote with Johnathan Carter Cunningham, as her favourite “woman-loving-woman” song.

“Nothing's gonna hurt you, baby / Nothing’s gonna make you cry,” Halsey sings. “I'll be damned if I ever let another hand / Wipe your tears before they dry.”

Halsey shared the track in a tweet on Sunday.

“prolly gon get in trouble for this but, happy pride! here’s the full OG version of wipe your tears,” she tweeted. “my favourite wlw song of mine that ended up on a special release of Manic. if it gets taken down it ain’t my fault.”

Halsey later tweeted “there’s actually 3 versions of this song in existence” but said she couldn’t share the other one. “I’ll get in too much trouble cause it has a feature.”

She added: “Y’all gonna get me in trouble now shush.”
