Halsey is resuming her tour on Saturday in Minneapolis after cutting short a show in Calgary and scrapping one in Edmonton this week.
The 23-year-old pop star was performing in Calgary on Tuesday night when she reportedly got some bad news and ended the show. A concert scheduled for the following night in Edmonton was cancelled.
Promoter Live Nation cited “a personal emergency” and offered refunds.
In a message on Instagram, Halsey apologized to her Alberta fans. “There are very few things in this world that could make me stop a show,” she wrote. “This is breaking my heart but I have to take a few days to gain my composure … and finish out the tour with a bang.
“I’ll make it up to the fans in Canada. Thank you for understanding and respecting the privacy of me and those close to me during this time. I love you.”
Halsey’s Hopeless Fountain Kingdom Tour wraps up on Nov. 22 in Cleveland.
