Halsey’s newest album hopeless fountain kingdom is aiming for a debut at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, making it the first album by a female artist to do so in 2017. The singer took to social media to share the news.
“I found out yesterday that #hopelessfountainkingdom was the first female album to go #1 in 2017!!! WOWWWWWWW,” the singer posted on Twitter.
Her follow-up to 2015’s Badlands, hopeless fountain kingdom is reportedly going to receive 110,000 equivalent album sales. Last year was a landmark year for women with number one album debuts on the charts, with Adele, Rihanna, Gwen Stefani, Beyoncé and Solange all topping the charts with their releases.
