The brothers of Hanson announced Monday they are celebrating their 25th anniversary as a band and the 20th birthday of their biggest hit, “MMMBop,” with a world tour.
Zac, Taylor and Isaac will kick off The Middle of Everywhere 25th Anniversary World Tour in their hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma in May.
There are three Canadian dates — Oct. 3 in Montreal, Oct. 4 in Toronto, and Oct. 18 in Vancouver.
“Making music together for 25 years is a milestone that we had to acknowledge, and what better way to do it than with an anniversary tour,” Taylor said, in a release.
Isaac added: “This year is not only about the two decades of music, it’s about celebrating the incredible community of fans who have been with us, singing along year after year.”
Hanson’s major label debut, Middle of Nowhere, was released in May 1997 and went on to sell 10 million copies around the world — including 500,000 in Canada — and earn three Grammy nominations.
All three Hanson brothers are now married with children. Isaac, 36, as three children; Taylor, 33, has five; and Zac, 31, has four.
