Harry Styles said Monday he is among the investors in a new $600 million arena in Manchester, England.
Co-op Live, which is being developed by U.S.-based Oak View Group (OVG), is set to have the largest floor capacity of any concert venue in the U.K. when it opens in 2023. The arena will accommodate 23,500 fans.
The amount Styles is investing in the project was not disclosed.
“Manchester is an incredible city, filled with incredible people, and I couldn’t be happier being involved in this project,” Styles said, in a release. “I was drawn to this project on every level, from the opportunities it brings to the contribution it will make to the city, and most importantly, that it will allow even more live music to thrive in Manchester.”
The city’s existing 21,000-capacity AO Arena, which opened in 1995, was the site of a terrorist attack that killed 22 people and injured hundreds more as an Ariana Grande concert was ending.
