Hayley Kiyoko has pulled the plug on a tour that would have brought the singer to two Canadian cities next month.
In a statement she shared on social media on Saturday, Kiyoko said “the timing for the tour didn’t go the way we had hoped” and blamed the cancellation on “a lot of factors not aligning for the year ahead.”
The tour, which was scheduled to run from Jan. 29 to March 13, included a Feb. 22 show at Mtelus in Montreal and a Feb. 24 stop at Rebel in Toronto.
“This is really one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made, and even more heartbreaking to express to you,” wrote Kiyoko. “I apologize deeply for disappointing you … I’m so sorry.”
The 28-year-old singer said she will use the time to finish work on a new album.
