You’ve got to have Heart. Or, at the very least, Ann Wilson.
The 66-year-old singer announced Tuesday she is embarking on a solo tour beginning March 8.
No Canadian shows are on the list of 20 dates but more are expected to be added, so there’s hope!
After all, Wilson has ties to Canada.
Heart, which includes Wilson’s sister Nancy, moved north to Vancouver in the early ‘70s. The band’s first album, Dreamboat Annie, was recorded at what is now Mushroom Studios in Vancouver in the summer of 1975.
And, one of the bands first big gigs was opening for Rod Stewart in Montreal.
In announcing her solo tour, Ann said in a release that fans can expect “a beautiful, classy set with an elegant, artistic production.”
Wilson promised the shows will be “a mix of songs that have powered my life; iconic soul stirring covers, songs from my years of solo work and the unforgettable songs of Heart.”
Heart’s most recent album is last year’s Beautiful Broken.
