This summer’s Hella Mega tour by Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy has been officially postponed due to COVID-19.
“Hopefully this doesn’t come as a surprise,” read a joint statement from the bands shared on social media, “but as much as we were all looking forward to seeing you all this summer, everyone’s safety is our highest priority so we’ve officially made the call to reschedule all North American dates of the Hella Mega tour until next year.
“Please stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you in 2021.”
Last month, Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy told NME: “Nobody knows anything and it’s hard because we really want to do this tour … I know as much as you do about what’s going to happen with it.”
The only Canadian stop on the Hella Mega tour is Aug. 24 at Toronto’s Rogers Centre.
