Hilary Duff’s Beverly Hills home was reportedly broken into last week while the singer-actress was vacationing in Canada.
A thief or thieves may have figured out that Duff wasn’t home by following her social media.
The 29-year-old started posting photos on Instagram a week ago showing her and son Luca enjoying a summer vacation in the Muskoka region of Ontario.
In one video clip she shared, Duff is seen jumping off the Main Street bridge in Dorset. A clip of her diving off a dock into a lake is captioned: “C A N A D A.”
Luca is Duff’s son with Canadian Mike Comrie. She worked in Ontario's cottage country on 2005's Cheaper by the Dozen 2 and made The Perfect Man in Toronto. Duff has released five studio albums, including 2003's No. 1 release Metamorphosis.
According to TMZ, the break-in happened July 19 and someone made off with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry.
